The Sailing grounds of the British Virgin Islands are an ideal setting with crystal clear waters, breathtaking vistas, pristine beaches and a host of restaurants, bars and shops. Temperatures average year round between 70 to 88 degrees F. The prevailing winds blow northeast to southeast at 10 to 20 knots. If you have never chartered before this is the perfect oppertunity to experience sailing at its finest. The waters of the BVI's are some of the safest and widely cruised waters on the planet. Your hosts Captain's Dave and Jacki Fife will take care of the navagation, logistics, boat handling and provisioning in order to ensure that you have a stress free wonderful sailing vacation. The 2007 flotilla date is January 14th - 21st.

Day One
Arrive in Tortolla. (arrangements will be made to stay 1st night on board vessel or at a nearby hotel.) Chart briefing by your captains along with an orientation of the sailing vessel followed by a "get to know the crew and new friends mixer" over dinner and drinks.

Day two
Sail out of Tortolla up the Sir Francis Drake Channel to Marina Cay. After a day of spectacular sailing we will pick up a mooring for the night. Swim, snorkel, sunbathe or relax to some island music while sipping boat drinks. Dinner can be enjoyed on the boat or dingy ashore to Marina Cay where you will find two restaurants with excellent island cuisine and spectacular views of the Caribbean's setting Sun.

Day Three
After a great day of sailing you will find yourself anchored in the majestic harbor off Norman Island. Here you will have a chance to snorkel the famous caves which are full of marine wildlife. This is also the home of the infamous Willie T's floating schooner bar & grill. Fair Warning...Willie T's gives out T-shirts to any patron willing to jump off the deck (naked) into the warm waters below. If you enjoy the nightlife and island music this place has a reputation for wild island times. Dinner may be enjoyed on the boat or Pirates Restaurant is just a short dingy ride to shore.

Day Four
A relaxing sail with wonderful views takes you between Tortolla's west end and ST. John's AVI. As we pass through the narrows Jost Van Dyke comes into view. This is the home of the Soggy Dollar Bar and the legendary Foxy's restaurant & bar. We will anchor in Great Bay and dingy around the point to White Bay where you can enjoy a day of touring the island by four wheel quads, swim, relax in a hammock or visit the numerous beach bars before dinner. You won't want to miss Foxy's famous island BBQ and live entertainment for the evening. However, dinner can always be enjoyed on the boat.

Day Five
Depending on how early we get started (after a night of Foxy's famous BBQ) we can set sail for Peter Island, Salt Island or Cooper Island for yet another day of Caribbean sunshine, sailing and island exploration. We will take a group vote to determine our destination. (You must be awake and able to raise your hand to vote). Dinner will be on board the vessel for this evening.

Day Six
We will set sail early for Virgin Gorda in order to secure a mooring ball at "The Baths". Here you will experience the wonderful outcropping of rock formations and snorkeling. After a half day of exploring we will motor north to Great Dog for lunch followed by the best snorkeling in the BVI's. For those who would rather explore the island, a short dingy ride will take you to a beautiful white sandy beach and an island inhabited only by wildlife. Another short motoring will take us to Marina Cay for our last night. A farewell dinner at Pusser"s Restaurant will undoubtedly have us all sipping island drinks, watching the sunset and talking about the past weeks events with new found friends.

Day Seven
Open Day: we will see where the wind takes us.

Day Eight
After a hearty breakfast on board the vessel we will motor out past the reef and around the point where we will set sail for the last leg of our Caribbean BVI's journey. We will sail east through the Sir Francis Drake channel as we make our way to our home port in Tortolla. Our arrival time back to home port will be about 11 am. Ground transportation and flights can be confirmed on our way back to port via VHF radio and cell phone. For those of you who can afford the time to stay another night, we can assist you in your quest for lodging.

Day Nine
I wanna go back to the islands!!!
